Calix Gustav Gallery is launching its new exhibition titled Basics, which showcases works by classically trained emerging artists who utilize contemporary subject matters. Between the various artists featured, all are united by the underlying theme, “basics” or the connection with one’s being through the basics of life: solitude, the subconscious, nature and minimalism.
In the group exhibition Basics, you are presented wth new drawings, paintings, sculptures and sketchbooks from the series Outbound Tales and works from the four-part anthology series When Mankind was Young created in 2008 and 2009.
