The sculptures from the series "Schismatic" touches upon the central themes of religion. The sculptures derive concepts from known religious archetypes, stories of gods, mythology, and controversially, the skepticism of religion as a valid belief system. Among the sculptures is "Apparition of the Deity", a modern take on the concept of the sudden appearance of a formidable god among humble shepherds. The central figure appears before a group of shepherds and a family on a mountanous scene intertwined in abstract forms and symbols. The other sculptures describe tales that continue the recurring theme of religion or the absense of religion.
